Stop living in autopilot
When we all the time are doing the same things, at the one moment everything becomes automatic for us. We are not thinking about what we are doing and start to do everything unconsciously.
Let’s choose the example. If to compare to driving a car, while we learn – we carefully think about driving process.
But if we have been driven for long period of time, because of accrued experience – whole process becomes automatic for us.
The same happens with our lives. We do the same things again and again daily. It becomes automatic process for us. And we don’t even see that we have started to live in autopilot. Even more – we are doing the same things, and very often expecting for different results. But different results will never come, if activities are the same again and again. Let’s say - we want to lose weight. Eating cookies, junk food each day and just hoping to lose weight will not help us. Nothing will change if we will not change it consciously.
It is essentially important to wake up and To stop living in autopilot. To be present - what and why you are doing the things - you are doing now. To embrace the moments. To be fully present at each moment of your life.
There is small trick which you can start with in order to awake you from living in autopilot. Choose different daily route. Don’t use the route what you always use for your daily activities. Try something new! Choose different grocery store, not the one you always use.
Those tiny steps helps for our brains to start inner awakening process. To shift ourselves back to reality by being fully present in what we are experiencing. If you will change different route you will pay more attention on it. It is not the pathway you always use. And for brain it is do helpful. To become more aware of what we are experiencing.
Each of us have freedom to choose. To make choices that help ourselves to improve quality of our life. But if we don’t even know where we are going in our lives and what changes should be implemented, how could we possibly change it? Nothing will change while we live in autopilot.
Start with small things. Help yourself to become aware by being present in each daily step you are interacting with.
And I can promise, as soon as you start to practice it, your perception will shift also. You will be noticing more and more of possibilities in your life which previously were hidden for you. The truth is - they weren’t. You just lived in autopilot previously. And that is do dangerous state for everyone - because that can become the main reason for fear, anxiety and even depression.
Stop living in autopilot. Choose to wake up! Make this choice by yourself. Choose to embrace the moments you are experiencing right now. And start to do things differently to experience different results! To improve your life quality. Nobody else can do it for yourself. Just you.
Choose happy and joyful life. Choose to wake up.
